Why Faith Facility Partners of Ohio Exists

Across Ohio, many churches and faith-based organizations have classrooms, education wings, fellowship areas, former school space, and other portions of their properties that are used heavily at certain times but remain underutilized during much of the workweek.

At the same time, child care operators seeking to expand often face one of their greatest challenges before a center ever opens: finding a building in the right community that can realistically support child care.

Faith Facility Partners of Ohio exists to help bridge that gap. We help faith-based organizations explore the potential of their facilities, identify considerations that may affect child care use, and connect appropriate opportunities with child care operators whose expansion needs may align with the property.

The result can be a productive use of existing community assets, a new facility relationship for the property owner, and greater potential for child care access in Ohio communities.

Our mission is centered on connection. We believe existing facilities can become part of the solution to a community need when the right property, operator, expectations, and relationships come together.

Our Role Is to Facilitate

Faith Facility Partners is not the child care operator. We do not present the organization as the party responsible for operating a center, employing teachers, obtaining an operator’s child care license, or guaranteeing a particular rental arrangement.

Our role is to help an opportunity move from an initial question toward informed conversations between the appropriate organizations. Depending on the property and stage of the process, that can include:

For Faith-Based Facility Owners

We help churches and faith-based organizations explore whether underutilized space may present a child care opportunity. The process begins with the property: available space, configuration, parking, outdoor areas, access, current uses, organizational goals, and other practical considerations.

For Child Care Operators

We maintain relationships with established and growing child care organizations seeking expansion opportunities. Understanding their target markets, capacity goals, facility needs, timing, and operating model helps us recognize properties that may warrant an introduction.

Ohio is not simply part of our service area—it is the focus of the organization. We are building relationships with faith-based property owners and child care operators throughout the state, from major metropolitan areas and suburbs to growing exurban communities and smaller Ohio markets.
